Dawn Benn, Health and Social Care
Our Higher National Certificate (HNC) Health & Social Care will provide you with an overview of the structure and funding of the health and social care sectors and examine the principles of health and social care practice, backed up by personal and professional development which includes substantial work placement within the sector. This course provides a range of transferable skills including: personal development, research methods and highly regarded ‘soft skills’ such as team working and interpersonal skills, preparing you for roles within the sector such as a Health Care Assistant or for further study, leading to professions such as nursing, social work and occupational therapy, to name but a few.
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) Health and Social Care feeds directly into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Health and Social Care, allowing you to study the subject at a greater depth.
This course will give students the opportunity to examine the structure and development of the sectors both academically and through placement, giving a solid grounding for further study of roles related to patient care.
